The home for people looking for fun in Northern Michigan

I am starting to get a little worried about the impact gas prices will have on our tourist season in Northern Michigan. Sure the optimists want to say it will improve our tourism because people will want to stay closer to home, but I am not so sure. I think people are not going to go anywhere when you factor in gas and groceries, thus hurting our economy further. Heck I am starting to think another depression might be in our future and I have been looking at buying horses. What are your thoughts?

Charlevoix is full of the type of tourists who don't even look at the pump when they fill their giant boats. That new marina is pretty full and there are certainly still Audis and BMWs parked bumper to bumper on both sides of the street. Downtown it is tough to tell money is tight.
